Time Out Period

If your terminal is inactive for over two hours, you will be automatically logged off the SAP production system.

Tolerance

The dollar amount by which an invoice may exceed the Purchase Order. No more than 50% per line item and no more than $100 for the total of the PO.

Toolbar

The Toolbar is the first row of buttons on the SAP screen and contains the Command field. In the Command field you can enter fastpath commands that take you directly to a system task without using menus. The buttons provide quick access to commonly used SAP functions.

Transaction Code

A unique command that tells the system location of an SAP transaction. A transaction code may contain only letters or a combination of letters and numbers; for example, zstm (Summary Statement) or fmz1 (Manual Funds Reservations). Type the transaction code preceded by the prefix /n in the Command field to access the corresponding SAP transaction. For example, /nzstm accesses the Summary Statement.

Unit of Measure

Defines the amount or size of the material being purchased such as bottle (BT), box (Bx), each (EA).

Upload

The importing of data from a front-end system such as personal computer into the SAP system. For example, you can transfer the contents of a spreadsheet into a journal voucher program in SAP.

User Parameters

The ability to set defaults in your personal SAP profile on certain fields. Instead of having to select or enter the same value repeatedly, you can create a default setting for the field. For example, you can create a default for USD in the Currency/rate field rather than having to type it in every time you use this field.

User Profile

Function that allows users to view or change user information such as address, default printer, and parameters.
